Today we’d like to introduce you to Justice Maxwell
Hi Justice, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I started out back in college modeling for a small group on campus. Then I never really took it seriously but as the years went by, I started to appreciate how flexible I was becoming in front of the camera. I learned to change my look in adapt to what the photographer wanted, and that I saw artistry.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
At first, it was pretty rough because I never saw myself doing this. It was kind of hard for me to actually see myself as a professional model. But as I kept doing it, it came as easy as breathing, and I found real joy in networking with other creatives.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I do print work and runway modeling. I’ve done this professionally for about 6+ years. I do specialize in some acting and promotions for designers who are serious about their creations. I usually come across those that love what they do and whenever we collaborate, it’s always magic. I’m most proud of the fact that I’ve learned to step out of my comfort zone and I’ve learned how to sell myself when it comes to networking as well as making connections across the states. I would say my work ethic and energy probably set me apart from others. When you do what you love you never get tired of it.
We’re always looking for the lessons that can be learned in any situation, including tragic ones like the Covid-19 crisis. Are there any lessons you’ve learned that you can share?
You can’t quit. There are times when you can take a break and you could withdraw to take a breather, but do not give up on your dream. Covid never stopped me. It may have slowed some of the work down, but I never gave up.
