Today we’d like to introduce you to James Turner.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I started by writing and releasing the book Hanking In Love with Game and the Hanking brand grew from there. The word Hanking means. When you can supply the demand and consistently turn a profit. The word hanking is another word for hustle and everyone is hanking in one way or another.
I have Hanking In Love With The Game the book, Hanking definition t-shirt, and the Hankin Tv Youtube channel. I served 10 years in prison, I have been homeless, and life has dealt me some devastating blows. But I refused to give up and knew that there was a bigger purpose for my life.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
No, it has not always been a smooth road. A couple of the struggles I have faced are, a lack of support sometimes, and people not believing in me or my vision, I truly believe in myself.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I recently graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Digital Cinematography / FilmMaking and I am in the process of writing a script for my first published novel, Hanking In Love With The Game. My Youtube channel Hankin Tv is also beginning to pick up traction and I have reached over 1,000 subscribers.
The Hankin Tv Youtube channel is a platform to spread awareness about the talent and entrepreneurs in Dayton, Ohio. I am most proud of completing and publishing a book and also for graduating college. I think my willingness to network and work together with others is something that sets me apart from others.
What are your plans for the future?
My plans for the future is to continue to expand the Hankin brand and to finish and release part II and III of Hanking In Love With The Game. I am looking forward to getting out here and growing. Right now I am just planning to stay consistent and to become better as a person and entrepreneur.
