Today we’d like to introduce you to Jake Minor.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Throughout high school, I always knew I wanted to be an entrepreneur. I began my journey with my landscaping company called “Minor’s Mulch,” which I still run today. After working at Card My Yard for almost two years, during my Senior year of high school, I had the opportunity to purchase two Card My Yard locations: Cleveland and Cleveland South.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
The main struggle along the way would be my age. I had to wait until I was eighteen to file for an LLC and I hadn’t been accepted for a business loan, due to being too young.

At Card My Yard, we specialize in celebratory signs. There are multiple types of packages and hundreds of graphics to choose from when ordering. I am most proud of our product range and quality. We can assure quality work and timely responses to questions.
What do you like and dislike about the city?
My favorite thing about our city is the love everyone has for Cleveland. My least favorite thing about our city is our highway system, due to the constant construction.
