Daily Inspiration: Meet Elizabeth Simpson

Today we’d like to introduce you to Elizabeth Simpson.

Hi Elizabeth, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
↠ Hi y’all! Elizabeth Simpson here…the creative eye behind Simpson Photography aka Simpsonography. During a normal work day, you can find me photographing, editing, designing & creating custom artworks, social media-ing (↞ official term), laughing at myself, and caffeinating like a pro. I love hard and live crazy, but wouldn’t have it any other way!

My business went from a little baby dream in 2012 upon my college graduation to an actual full-time job and lifestyle in 2017. I worked some jobs that weren’t life-giving along the way and I tell ya what..they gave me the kick in the pants I needed to make this goal a reality. My background is in art education so switching to photography and working with clients felt so natural to me. Along with some great business coaching from my mentor, and the support of my amazing husband, friends, and family this life was made possible. I’ll be forever thankful!

love & stuff,

Elizabeth

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Of course, there are always struggles along the way… not having a 9-5 job with a guaranteed paycheck and set amount of money is scary. Being in charge of taxes is really scary! lol

I just keep telling myself, “You can do hard things!”

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
Simpson Photography specializes in family, wedding, and personal branding sessions. If I’m allowed to toot my own horn for a sec, I’m also nationally published!! My favorite things to take off your plate are: helping you plan and shop for your session wardrobe, creating archival quality prints to enjoy in your home, custom designing your family heirloom albums, building the perfect gallery wall display for your canvases, and holding your hands through the whole photo process! Basically, we’re best friends now, okay?! Glad that’s settled… 😉

What would you say has been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
No one owes me their business. I am humbled and thankful anytime someone chooses me to preserve their memories and family legacy.
