Today we’d like to introduce you to Cierra Withers
Cierra, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Hi! Iām Cierra š
Coffee & Prayer Co. began because of a dream that God placed in my heart. Coffee is an essential part of so many peopleās every day routine; some people, like myself, just canāt live without it! I wanted to show the love of Jesus through a tangible cup of coffee.
We began searching for a trailer or truck of some sort in March of 2024. We had VERY little to work with financially and we wouldnāt be where we are without my dad, Caleb. God used him to bless my husband and I tremendously throughout this whole process. I was praying the whole time, āGod, if this dream is really from you, youāll have to provide the perfect trailer that is exactly what we need.ā
We scoured Facebook Marketplace and found a really rough trailer that was about 3 hours away for $2,500. I immediately sent it to my dad and messaged the seller, and we waited. Waited some more. And some more. Then we finally got a response! The guy said he had over 500 messages and ājust so happened to click mine.ā When we went to pick up the trailer I said āno, sir, this isnāt a coincidence – I prayed for this trailer!ā It was such an incredible thing to be a part of.
We got the trailer back and spent 4.5 months renovating it. From the floors to the walls to the roof top – everything needed redone. We arenāt afraid of hard work and knew this trailer was a huge blessing, so we did what needed to be done and turned her into a beauty!
Though it was only 4.5 months, it was a long hard road to get the trailer to where she is now. But we did it! Now, almost 6 months in, we have traveled to countless places serving thousands of drinks to people. It has been the wildest ride!
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons youāve learned along the way. Looking back would you say itās been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I donāt think anything thatās special is an easy road. When God gives you a dream and you step out in faith, it doesnāt mean every step is going to be easy.
Renovating the trailer was difficult. As I said before, we had very little funds to work with to get this going and my dad was a massive help financially – so that alone was a struggle. God worked every detail out and provided every single thing we needed. We had people other people bless us financially as well to help get things going. He has been so faithful!
We had to replace the floors, the walls, the ceiling panels, the overhead light covers, we had to install a 4 compartment sink from nothing and make sure it connected to the waste tank below the trailer, we had to paint every single inch of the inside and the outside, and we had to repair the massive hole in the roof. Nothing about that was easy, but it was worth it.
Aside from the physical work on the trailer itself, a new business is always hard. From finding places to set up weekly, applying to markets to be a part of, staying consistent when the initial hype of something new dies down – itās all a challenge. Sometimes we set up the coffee trailer at a location and we do really well and sometimes nobody shows up, but consistency is key.
Owning your own business is ALWAYS a challenge when youāre first starting, but itās also so, so rewarding.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
We have a mobile trailer that we hook up to the back of our SUV that is a full blown mobile coffee shop. We offer hot + iced lattes, dirty sodas, italian sodas, fruit smoothies, hot chocolate, energy drinks and chai tea lattes all from a TRAILER. Thatās pretty incredible! We can go anywhere and provide someone with a delicious, quality drink and thatās really special to us.
We thrive off of intentional conversation. We want to get to know each person that comes to our window. We truly believe that the Lord will create opportunities for us to love on + pray for those around us if we are just aware, asking questions and simply being kind. We want C&P Co. to be a source of light and hope in your day!
We are proud of what we stand for, and weāre honored to get to represent Jesus in such a creative way. We have had people come up the window, fill out our prayer journal and leave with tears in their eyes because they felt seen and loved. We have had people ask for prayer and our team has leaned out of the serving window and laid hands on people who received a touch of Jesus just because they showed up for a cup of coffee. We are just thankful to be used by God and get to love on people and tell them that HE loves them most!
What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
I am a big dreamer- I love change and I love a challenge. I truly donāt know about 5-10 years down the road, but right now, this is what weāre praying for:
We are currently praying for and searching for a bus, van, food truck of some sort to renovate and turn into our mobile coffee shop. My heart longs for an old church bus, but we know that the right vehicle is out there for us no matter what it is! Our trailer is fantastic, but weād love something we can just jump in and drive rather than tow.
We would love to keep the trailer and set it up at a permanent location, and then have a small bus to drive around to our locations.
I would love to see multiple Coffee & Prayer Co. trailers/buses that are always on the move sharing the hope of Jesus everywhere they go!
