Today we’d like to introduce you to Becca Pavlik.
Hi Becca, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I graduated from Malone University with a degree in Cross-Cultural Ministry. After college, I spent several years working in the anti-human trafficking field—leading outreach teams into strip clubs, jails, and neighborhoods where women were being exploited, helping them rediscover their worth and take steps toward freedom. When my husband began working as a travel nurse, I transitioned into remote work, which led me to the world of insurance. Today, I genuinely love what I do—helping families protect what matters most, plan for retirement, and build a more secure future.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Transitioning into a completely new field wasn’t easy—especially since it wasn’t what I studied in school. But I’ve always been someone who adapts quickly, and I’ve found the challenges to be both stretching and exciting. Honestly, the hardest part was the sense of losing a piece of my identity when I stepped away from the work I’d poured so much of myself into.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I work in life insurance—and I get it, that might not sound exciting at first. But the truth is, it’s an incredibly powerful tool. I have the privilege of meeting with families and helping them find peace of mind by creating financial security for their futures—even in the midst of life’s most difficult moments. I also get to walk alongside people as they plan for retirement, build savings, and break free from debt.
I recently delivered my first death claim, which means I had the responsibility of meeting with a family after their loved one had passed. While it was an incredibly emotional experience, I found a deep sense of purpose in being able to support them during such a difficult time. Because of the policy their loved one had in place, I was able to help the family receive a significant payout—enough to stay in their home despite the loss of income. That moment reminded me why I do what I do.
My background and lifelong desire to help others are what set me apart in this industry. This isn’t about “sales” for me—it’s about showing up for people, protecting what matters most, and making sure each client has the right plan in place for their future.
We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you?
Quite frankly, I don’t believe in luck—I believe in faith. I truly believe Jesus has led me to where I am today, and I’m so grateful for it. My job allows me to work fully remote, make a meaningful impact, and spend my days at home with my pups—and I don’t take that for granted.
