Hi Tierra, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?

In 2021 I planned my daughter’s Quinceañera. It was a hit. I hired many vendors, and received many compliments on the party and that I should start a business in the event industry. Seeing what vendors could get paid to do (renting furniture) and how profitable it could be, in addition to the positive feedback, I decided to go for it.
I opened La Rosa Event Rentals in March of 2022. It was timed to launch during my birthday month and Women’s History Month. I took some time leading up to launch networking and studying others in the industry, Through this time I narrowed down my focus to rental furniture and mobile bartending.
From there, I hit the ground running. Social media, partnerships, advertising and word of mouth had me booked and busy. 🌹
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I don’t think any business owner has had a smooth road. Cracks in the road craft your story. Struggle for everyone looks different. For me, my struggle was (and is) time. I’m a single mother of three girls and have a full time job that requires business travel, among many other titles/responsibilities. This industry can keep you as booked and busy as you want to be. This is why I included the mobile bartending, because I can take that anywhere in addition to the events I work. My first year in business, I spent one weekend a month bartending at a local bar/restaurant to gain more experience. Surely you can understand why time is my struggle.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
La Rosa Event Rentals LLC specializes in events. Specifically, event furniture rental and mobile bartending.
We’re most known for our throne chairs, champagne wall and mobile bartending.
For those not familiar, think King and Queen thrones, and now picture those at baby showers, grad parties, etc. 👑
Now think of open bars at weddings, birthday parties, etc. I’m the bartender serving you! 🫶
Don’t forget the champagne wall full of flutes as guests arrive to any event! 🥂
I’m most proud of our business being woman owned, disability owned and family operated. Whenever I’m on a delivery, you can find my daughter completing it alongside me. She often handles my social media as well.
What sets us apart is the array of services we offer. I’m not sure you can find another bartender that also rents event furniture!

Hmm, a surprising fact that most may not know as it relates to my business is my Mother used to be a bartender around the same age I started my business and that’s how she met my Father.
