Conversations with Tiearra Harris

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tiearra Harris.

Tiearra, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin? 
My name is Tiearra Harris. And I am a Fashion, Style, and Beauty Content Creator + Fashion Enthusiast. I began my Fashion career 10 years ago, after creating my fashion blog Red Jacket Daily in 2013. Shortly after obtaining my associate degree in Fashion Merchandising in 2016, I began creating Fashion look-books and Makeup tutorials on YouTube in 2018. With an educational background in Fashion, I utilized my skills, knowledge, and love for Fashion and Wardrobe Styling to create a platform where I could showcase my expertise while staying true to my Wardrobe Styling roots. 

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
My road to becoming a Fashion Influencer and Content creator has been anything but easy. I’ve suffered from imposter syndrome on multiple occasions, especially in the beginning when I first started taking creating content for YouTube seriously. I remember when I first got the idea to create a YouTube channel during my sophomore year of college, I instantly talked myself out of the idea because I was afraid of what people would think about my content. I made several excuses for why my channel wouldn’t be successful and why I thought I wouldn’t gain the support I wanted. Though I was afraid to create my channel, I knew I still had a lot to say, and I wanted to express myself creatively. So, I prayed on the matter and God gave me the idea to create a Fashion Blog. And I listened, so in 2014, I created Red Jacket Daily. A Fashion blog dedicated to showcasing the latest fashion trends while also providing my readers with fashion and style advice. After running my blog for 4 years, the idea to create a YouTube channel came back up, but this time I didn’t ignore it. Instead, I decided to make it my New Year’s resolution to create my channel in 2018. 

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
As a creative, my content consists of Get ready with Me’s, Makeup tutorials, Try-on hauls, and giving style and fashion advice. I am most known and recognized for my Fashion content. 

I am most proud of the brands that I have collaborated with as an Ambassador since creating my YouTube channel. I’ve worked with brands such as Parade, Shapermint, Influencers, and Amazon.
