Today we’d like to introduce you to Nathan Dudley.
Hi Nathan, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Back in 2008 when I was 14, I started following around this local christian hip-hop group Life Saving Decision with Kevin Beebe and Aaron Thompson. I started remixing their songs as a DJ/producer after some months of following them around to their shows. Their manager reached out to me and brought me along to shows with them to DJ and then opening for them. I started writing my music in 2009 and finally recorded it in early 2010 after receiving quite a few of positive feedback comments on a small performance done at a church talent show. Kevin was killed in 2011 while walking home and hit by a drunk driver. Since then I have continued to make music and then evolving into EDM/house music in 2021. After months of attempted contact in early 2022, I was responded to by DJ E-V, MGK’s former DJ, founder of @ImFromCleveland, and an icon in cleveland to begin a residency at Townhall and some nights at Barley House and Lost Social Club. Constant work, networking, and many ups and downs have brought me to where I am today.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Absolutely not! Haha – the struggle has been real. To say the least. I’ve dealt with so much rejection that it hurts. I’m the type of guy who used beat myself up when I was rejected but as I’ve gotten older I’ve realized it’s a part of life and you can’t get anywhere meaningful without being rejected many times. I’ve also struggled with personal mental issues since a kid and it’s a constant learning process. since taking this serious as a professional in 2021. I’ve also struggled with selling myself short (if that’s the correct term) and accepting gigs that didn’t align with my style or brand. I’ve made many mistakes but continue to push forward, always. God has a plan for me and I’m just along for the ride.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am a hybrid DJ (Open format DJ) and also progressive house music producer. I have done over 400 weddings since beginning DJing and have had different accomplishments over the years such as in 2022 amounting to over 14,000 streams on spotify and then in 2025 amassing over 19,000 plays and dramatically increasing playlist adds as well. My original and remixed music draws heavily from the influences of industry giants like John Summit, Afrojack, Hardwell, and Anyma. My productions and live sets blend energetic basslines with euphoric melodies. I infuse multiple genres together during typical DJ sets while keeping a high energy festival type vibe (when warrented) creating a sound that has caught the attention of both fans and fellow artists. I try to stay engaged with my audience by posting regular content on TikTok and Instagram, where I share live performance clips, remixes, mashups, and creative transition videos that highlight his skills both as a DJ and producer. As far as what sets me apart from others is I understand music is a psychological response and when you have that right song at the right moment, it creates a euphoric moment and a memory for time to come. Also, my sets consist of what I call “All bangers, no fluff” to quote the great Nick Spinelli haha
Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?
It’s always a team effort. For the longest time I had a delusion that it was all me. I did everything by myself. I had no team. But in reality, my team was just a revolving group of people over the years that helped me each step of the way. First off my mom who always supported my crazy dreams. She taught me to never give up and be resilient through it all. Other people include Carson of Headtrauma entertainment who believed in me when I moved out to the Akron area and gave me a chance on weddings with his team. I’ve built strong memories with him and everyone else on the 2022-2024 Headtrauma team. He’s also been a great guy to talk to vulnerably dealing with my mental health issues. Next, DJ E-V from Cleveland. He opened the door to the Cleveland club scene for me and from 2022-late 2025 I was working at some of the top spots in cleveland including NYE 2025 at the esteemed Marble Room in Cleveland with E-V. Shon DIllard out of california is my spiritual Dad. He has helped me deal with my faith crisis and also realize who t’f I am. I am a christian and believe that God has a plan for me and everything that happens my fault or not is all to help me. Talon Reid. Man, this dude (google him) has helped me see the other side of DJing. Where I want.. no.. NEED to be. I’ve been good friends with him for a few years now and we work very well together with great plans for the future. And lastly, my boys. my brothers Jeremy and Devon. To say less, these guys have stuck with me since kids as rocks and great support. I would be nowhere without them.
