Today we’d like to introduce you to Kristina Haberek.

Hi Kristina, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself
I got my start doing henna after I saw it being done at a festival in 1998. I loved that henna was temporary but held great detail and lasted a couple of weeks. I bought some henna and played around with it, often covering my left arm with it all summer. People saw it on me and loved it and the rest is history.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
Fairly smooth. I got into henna at a good time, before it was trendy, and had good web/social presence.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am a henna artist. I use only natural henna and I specialize in precise, neat lines and patterns. My work is a fusion of Indian, Arabic and modern motifs. I’m proud of the fact that my work has been recognized and that it brings joy to my clients. I have a lot of repeat clients.

If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
I was a bit of a loner growing up. I found that I had a natural ability in art at a young age. I was always creating something. Otherwise, I’m very much into music. It’s therapy for me.
