Conversations with Jolan And Jeff Toth

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jolan And Jeff Toth

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
What began by accident in Summer of 2021 has evolved, from local Markets to being recognized across the country through word of mouth. We create from start to finish Handmade, Lake inspired Buoys and Pillings from Salvaged wood. Like a fingerprint each piece is unique.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
We are 100% committed to our time, the quality of our products, and our creativity. We both had to learn new skills, and at times our attention to detail slowed us down. Our business has taken off so fast that the greatest challenge we continue to face is keeping up with our inventory. We have the best customers, and we want to make sure we keep creating the best for them, however long that is.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
My husband still has his Specialty Lighting Business dealing with other Business owners. In his “spare time” he salvages, cleans, and shapes all of the wood we use in our Buoy Business. I retired from Nursing the end of 2020, I never did anything but work, now I paint. We both have a strong work ethic and this business has given us time to enjoy life near the water, be creative, meet nice people, and do it together 🩵

Are there any books, apps, podcasts or blogs that help you do your best?
We live our life around Lake Erie in a boating community. We get our best inspiration from being out around the lake, boats, and people, who love the lake, boats and people. Having been boaters ourselves, we know what boaters enjoy, and that has helped us be ourselves, and be more creative.
