Today we’d like to introduce you to Jennifer Stevens
Hi jennifer, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I grew up playing with all the makeup in my mom’s dresser. When I was eleven years old I finally worked up the courage to ask her for my very own Clinique face powder and that was it, I was hooked! I’ve loved makeup ever since I was a young girl and it’s grown into such a passion of my mine. I not only love to wear it but I love to share the joy of it with this community online. Whether it’s giving makeup tips or testing products, the art and creativity of makeup is such a fun thing to share with people. I’m so thankful I’ve found a tiny corner of the internet to exist and create in.
It wasn’t always easy, the first year especially you feel so vulnerable and are comparing yourself to absolutely everyone. Then slowly you start to come into your own, your personality peeks through more and more. Before you know it you realize you can’t even remember when you stopped caring about what others think of you. It truly becomes just a beautiful process of you being your authentic self and creating what you love.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has definitely not been and it still is rough at times. As a smaller creator it’s really difficult to be taken seriously in this space. A lot of companies do not want to pay you for your work or want to do gifted collaborations which is basically free labor. When you’re someone with a smaller audience you’re expected to just be thankful for what you get and now we are trying to speak up and change that. It’s not ok for million/ billion dollar corporations to ask for free work because we have “less followers”.

I am a content creator that specializes in creating makeup videos. I’m known for testing new products/ makeup tips / easy everyday glam
I am most proud of not giving up and sticking with this journey. It takes a toll on your self confidence.
I’m very proud of the journal I recently published that’s available on Amazon. That was a great moment for me.
