Conversations with Emily Morales

Today we’d like to introduce you to Emily Morales.

Hi Emily, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers?
Born and raised in Cleveland all my life, I was able to find a passion for art. I just recently got into the art of photography and Videography and plan to attend Cleveland State University for 4 years to learn as much as I can and to eventually be in the business. After coming back to school after the Covid shut down, I was enrolled in a video broadcasting class in school, and my passion has taken off ever since. I hope to just make people amazed with my work and to leave something behind for people to remember me by as the years pass

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I had to deal with growing up in a lot of home struggles, financial issues, and being a woman of color (I’m a Puerto Rican woman), but I never let these things define what I can do in this life. They have push me to become a stronger person and I am glad I have been able to overcome and strive for success.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I’m still new, but I try to do a bit of everything when I can, photos, film, art. I don’t have anything that I am proud of yet but hopefully soon. I am most looking forward to what the world has to hold for me.

If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
Being genuine is my number one thing. My passion is a genuine thing and I love doing the things I love and when I eventually get to work with people in the future, they can see that, and I hope it can set me different
