Today we’d like to introduce you to Chris Glick.
Hi Chris, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’ve always enjoyed entertaining people and I’ve always known I have a big personality and had a gift of taking over a room with my energy and presence. So, about 10+ years ago I started doing live streams on different platforms and growing a name for myself and a following. But the podcast was always the ultimate goal and almost 2 years ago that dream become a reality when Jeff (my best friend from high school) and I reconnected. And one thing Jeff and I can do and do well is talk about anything and everything and make it funny. That was the birth of Nonsensical Nonsense. It was a rocky start and neither of us knew what we were doing in the beginning, but we continue to get better every episode eventually we added TonyD to our crew who I met though another platform and we became fast friends and we’ve been having a blast ever since. We are 3 very different people bit that’s what makes our dynamic so great and work perfectly.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
Haha absolutely not. Outside of my experience doing live streams on periscope TikTok etc. etc. etc… Jeff had no experience whatsoever and, in the beginning, just finding our rhythm or groove was a nightmare and them adding a 3rd personality to the mix after we were comfortable. Also, I knew nothing about the behind-the-scenes technical aspect of podcasting (editing posting social media), so I had to learn and teach myself which not that easy when you’re not a computer guy haha. Plus, all the technical difficulties we’ve been able to push through. But at the end of the day, it’s made us better.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I’m the host of Nonsensical Nonsense Podcast. We are a comedy-based podcast that literally talk about anything and everything except politics or religion. We are known for being completely unhinged and slightly a bit insane haha. I still can’t believe that what started as a dream is now a reality and that we continue to grow and get better every show. I think the fact that we are real makes us unique there is nothing fake about myself or the show
Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
Being a dad and showing my kids it’s never too late to chase your dreams and to not be afraid to put yourself out there and take a chance. I know they won’t say it, but my kids think I’m pretty cool haha. Also being behind the mic it’s my happy place bringing joy to people and being an escape for them from this crazy world for few hours is a good feeling
