Today we’d like to introduce you to Candace Boggan.
Hi Candace, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I’m a native Ohioan and adopted Floridian with a background in business, focused on marketing and human resources. As a strategy consultant, I help organizations clarify their vision through strategic thinking, compelling content, and impactful marketing. I’ve worked on a wide range of domestic and international projects, and have also contributed to various media outlets— including publishing two journals. My faith is at the center of who I am, fueling my love for global communities and the nations. I’m also an avid traveler and adventurer who believes some of life’s greatest lessons are learned by experiencing different cultures. As a little girl, I loved playing a flag memory game, so it’s still surreal every time I have the opportunity to experience a new country.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
My path has not been straight. After completing my undergraduate studies many years ago, I initially pursued a career in healthcare, followed by real estate (which I am still engaged in on the side), but over time, I found my way back to the creativity and writing that had always been a part of me. Nearly a decade post-undergrad, I earned my MBA with a focus in marketing, which allowed me to combine my strategic business background with my passion for storytelling, content creation, and brand development. That journey led me to roles where I could cultivate and use my God-given gift of writing and in some cases even my eye for photography. My love for storytelling began at an early age and continued on through my high school years at Beaumont (Cleveland Heights), where I served on the journalism club. Thus, there were many twists and turns along the way, but each season shaped me and prepared me for where I am today. Through it all, my faith has strengthened me to stay the course and trust where God is leading me.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I help organizations grow by bringing together strategy, business development, and marketing. I also help support talent acquisition and human resources initiatives. My work often involves identifying opportunities, developing solutions, building relationships, and helping organizations connect their vision with the right people and messaging. I’m passionate about creating impact through both strategy and storytelling.
Some of my proudest accomplishments include writing an article focused on my time at the Nobel Peace Prize Center in Oslo, Norway, which was recognized and recommended by the center’s then director, as well as serving on the opening team for a new ship build with Disney Cruise Line. I’ve also had two magazine cover stories and assisted in global human resources efforts in the yacht industry. I’ve had the opportunity to collaborate with other leading brands in various capacities, gaining experience across industries and international landscapes. Each experience has allowed me to combine my love for strategy, creativity, and people in meaningful ways.
Risk taking is a topic that people have widely differing views on – we’d love to hear your thoughts.
I’ve always believed in walking by faith and not by sight, and that sometimes means being willing to step out of the boat and trust the journey ahead. Growth begins when we take chances, and embrace the uncertainty of the days ahead. It requires courage and a not willing to quit, even on the hard days attitude. Throughout my career, I’ve taken risks through various business ventures and have intentionally explored opportunities across different industries. Each experience has stretched me, strengthened my faith, and taught me the value of being adaptable, resilient, and open to where new paths may lead.
