Today we’d like to introduce you to Brianna Glover
Hi Brianna, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Our small business began with my love for tie-dyeing, which started when I learned the art from a friend back in high school. During quarantine in 2020, I decided to pick up the hobby again to bring some fun and creativity into a tough time. This led to starting the business in May 2020. Since then, we’ve expanded from making just clothing to also offering home goods, accessories, hemp jewelry, and even cat toys.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
For the most part, we’ve been very lucky, and the road has been pretty smooth. With the exception of a couple of tough customers, our journey has been positive and encouraging. After much consideration and an extremely nerve-wracking leap of faith, I decided to quit my day job and focus on Bree Happy Designs full-time. It was a big decision, but seeing the positive response from our customers and the steady growth of the business made it the right choice. Taking Bree Happy Designs full-time has allowed us to expand our offerings and dedicate more time to creating unique, high-quality products for our customers.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am the owner and creator of Bree Happy Designs, a local tie-dye and hemp jewelry small business, bringing a splash of color and a touch of kindness to everything we do. One of the things we are most proud of is our low waste approach to our tie dye. We transform any mistakes or retired designs into our best-selling product: catnip kickers for our feline shoppers. What truly sets us apart is our attention to quality and detail and our personalized customer service. We take immense pride in not just our unique products but also in the quality of our customer interactions, fostering genuine relationships with each person who supports our business.
Do you have any advice for those just starting out?
The best advice I can give is to keep going. Small business ownership is much more intense than I ever imagined when I first started. There will be times when it feels like no one is cheering you on, and that’s when you need to believe in yourself the most. Find a product you’re truly passionate about and continuously work to improve it. Excellent customer service is crucial and one of the most important pillars of a successful small business. Your product can only take you so far; customers need to trust you just as much as they trust your products.
