Today we’d like to introduce you to Ashleydawn Wells.
Hi Ashleydawn, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstories.
I started my Travel Journey as a little girl traveling with my daddy. We loved exploring and going to new places. At the time, My Dad reconstructed a vintage school bus into a mobile adventure vehicle (RV) and we would travel the US exploring and eating foods from all over. He was an Artist, Sign Painter, and Pinstriper. There was nothing he couldn’t create. As I grew up, I always loved traveling and took that into social media and marketing for companies all over the US. I worked in Radio for a while, Country Music, and Television. From radio commercials to Television commercials and everywhere in between. I currently work with companies and businesses finding creative ways to share their brand with people via social media. In my spare time, I continue my dad’s passion for art via Calligraphy and Lettering. I’m also a writer for a magazine based out of Florida & Texas and a motivational speaker that speaks all over the world via podcasts. Encouraging others to chase their dreams and travel beyond their own backyard.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Oh gosh no! As a person that travels for work, finding the balance between home and work is very important. But I’ve learned that the harder the struggle, the better the victory. I recently traveled to Hawaii and there were several Volcanoes I didn’t think I could hike. I pushed myself through and the view at the top was worth all the hard work to get there. Struggle develops character and perseverance.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
My specialty is definitely my ability to connect to people and encourage them to Live their greatest adventure NOW! Tomorrow isn’t promised and if I can encourage one person to chase their dreams, it’s worth it for me.
That translates in a lot of different ways to companies I work with. Every company needs something different when promoting/ marketing their product or services. I try to highlight their brand in a creative and authentic way.
I love highlighting places that are not “common knowledge”, especially in the Tri-state area. So many hidden gems that need discovered!
If I’m speaking at a conference, I try to connect with the group and find their personal strengths and then encourage them to magnify them in a way unique to their talents and abilities.
I’m known for my happiness and joy. I try to make every place better than I found it and share my sunshine wherever I go. Life is hard even in the midst of careers, when someone is happy genuinely it’s contagious. I try to share that with everyone I work with.
So maybe we end on discussing what matters most to you and why?
People. My biggest goal in life is to let everyone I meet know how special they are. We all have something different to offer the world and often we can’t see the beauty within until someone comes along and points to it. I want to point to the beauty I see in others.
