Today we’d like to introduce you to Antoinette Barkley. 

Hi Antoinette, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstories.
I have been in health care for over 20 years as a state-tested nurse assistant. So, I decided to open a home health agency called Antoinette’s senior care LLC, I felt our community needed the extra help. So many of our loved ones especially the elderly was going without help. When covid hit I saw that many people were affected and I felt that I could give the helping hand and support the families needed. 

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
No, it hasn’t been a smooth road, my business is up and down. I have had clients pass away and some aren’t able to pay any more for the care. But I continue to keep my faith and put God first and things have worked. I have been in business for a year so I am truly blessed. 

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I also have a catering business called Antoinette’s soul food service and catering. I’ve been in business for six years. I’m also a plus-size model and actress. I also have a modeling group called 20 shades of love. Where I network with different models all over from city and states. We help to build each other and give each other opportunities to grow as a model but as a woman as well. 

Any big plans?
My plans are to open a health screening business. Provide covid testing drug testing and other health screenings. I want my home health agency to continue to grow and continue to be able to help more families.
