Hi Amber, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I have a Luxury Hair Extension Business that I established in 2017.
Amor Cabello Collection LLC is a high-quality hair extension company that offers different textures and density for women with coarse hair to women with finer hair. Whether they want to add volume, length, or just a completely different look Amor Cabello Collection is definitely here to supply all of your hair needs and long-lasting hair extensions.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I’ve challenged with many roadblocks along the way in my life since a little girl. When I first started the Amor Cabello Collection, I was a stay-at-home Mom, and being a mother came before anything else. Putting my priorities first and having 4 young children I found myself putting my business stuff on the back burner a lot and always going back to the drawing board or try to pick up where I left off. I got discouraged and wanted to quit but my kids wouldn’t let me lol. They would always be interested in what I was doing or be in the basement with me as I did clients’ hair, watch me put together my website, watch me package orders as they would come in the mail. Hearing and seeing them excited for me fueled me to keep pushing because I’m building this for them. With all of this, I was able to finally put everything together in order which was being a mother first and foremost, pouring into my business without feeling guilty which ultimately made me feel relieved from the anxiety and stress of the thought of having to possibly give up my dreams. Once I prioritized everything else fell in place.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
As stated, I have my own luxury hair extension company that I established in 2017. I was a stay-at-home Mom for almost 11 years and decided to do something I was passionate about. I then decided go back to work to bring in more income for my family and help continue to build my business. I currently work for a very well-known financial institution. Before going back to work I was an in-home hairstylist that I became known for my protective braiding styles. I’m very proud of my accomplishments because it was so much, I was up against and negative words spoken over my life. Having my 4 children and accomplishing everything I said I would for them makes me very proud. What sets me apart from others I can say my creativity and determination to be different and building solid relationships with my clients, Coworkers, and just anyone I cross paths with I always make sure I leave a mark of positivity.
If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
I was very determined and never took no for an answer lol. I’m the second oldest granddaughter on my mom’s side but before I came along it was all boys so when I was born it was a big deal because it’s like an 11- or 12-year age difference between me and my cousin. I was adventurous and very busy lol. It was all boys but it didn’t stop me from playing basketball and football. Basketball actually became my passion at 4 years old and cheerleading for the East Side Colts.
