Today we’d like to introduce you to Amanda Mahon & Julia LaRocca.
Hi Amanda & Julia, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today.
We met in our NP program at The University of Akron and both had interests in ultimately working in the Aesthetic/Wellness Industry. We loved the idea of making people look & feel their best. After graduating, we each pursued careers in medicine to have that foundation.
Over the years, we talked about our dreams and vision of creating a space where patients could come to seek treatments that would provide natural enhancements to boost their overall confidence with safety at the forefront of every service. We slowly trained until we were at a place where we were able to open “Modern Vitality Medical Spa.”
We began with 2 rooms and 2 providers in 2019, and have grown to a space with 5 rooms and 10 providers. We love what we do and are looking forward to exciting additions that are currently in the works!
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Of course, we have faced some challenges on this journey! For starters, we were shut down less than a year after opening due to Covid. We have also needed to learn to all that comes with being an entrepreneur (& continuing to learn every day).
This means- managing cash flow, delegating tasks, hiring and managing our team, etc! Although it has been stressful at times, we are lucky to have each other to fall back on as well as an incredible Team!

We offer a variety of Aesthetic & Wellness services- Injectables, Laser Services, Facials, IV Therapies, Teeth Whitening, Body Sculpting, Pelvic Floor Therapy, Microblading & more. We love making our patients look and feel they’re very best!
We have a natural approach with safety at the forefront of all services. We love getting to know our patients & being able to boost their confidence through different stages of life- college, engagements, weddings, pregnancies, postpartum & even just the natural aging process!
We have been told that we are very “relatable” and believe that this truly sets us apart from others! We value education & are constantly evolving/learning. We also have a fabulous team that gets along like family! We believe our patients grow to be part of this family too!
