I am a first-generation immigrant from Nigeria.
My family owns and operates a venue complex right in the city of Columbus Ohio. We are excited to curate spaces for personal celebrations, corporate events, and community gatherings. Pulling on our passion for community engagement and diversity; we present two annual events. (Juneteenth Community Festival and Central Ohio Afro Fest).

It has been quite the interesting journey flexing the entrepreneurial muscles as an immigrant.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The journey has been interesting and riddled with opportunities for learning.
Securing capital with reasonable terms remains one of the challenges. Capital is needed for long-term growth.
Reliable human capital has sometimes been problematic. We continue to advertise and market Phenix for better visibility.
