Today we’d like to introduce you to Talan & Taron Taylor.
Hi Talan & Taron, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Taron – It started with me finding an interest in making my own homemade products back in college. I would watch YouTube and experiment.
Talan – I always had an interest in drawing and graphic design and sort of taught myself these things growing up
Taron – as we were looking to start a business together, it clicked that we put could put our two talents together and that’s how we started Huckstle
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
Taron- well it’s always a little struggle when you are formulating and testing a product to get everything just right.
Talan- yes that’s the same for me. Trying to figure out the direction to go when initially designing a product. I’d also say the pandemic was a challenge.
Taron – oh yes, that too. We had a lot of uncertainties come our way with shutdowns. That was the biggest challenge thus far.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?

Do you have any advice for those just starting out?
Taron – Focus on an interest or hobby you really love. Be consistent. Learn to accept criticism. Know yourself, your weaknesses, and find people who are strong in those areas. Be ok with failures because more times than not, they will become your greatest strengths.
Talan – I would say trust the process and stay true to who you are. Make sure your brand reflects that. I’d also say to always put your best foot forward. Long as you know you didn’t cut any corners and gave it you’re all to your best abilities, you will always be proud of yourself. Things will morph and change in your business all the time, welcome it.
