Today we’d like to introduce you to Lisa Warren.
Hi Lisa, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
First and foremost, all by the grace of Jesus. Baking has always been a hobby of mine, but never realized it’s been my calling instead. About a year ago, God brought to me the thought of The Good Portion. I, at the time, was not aware that it was his plan for me, but more of a thought for a devotional that was in discussion with a friend about. However, he stumbled me into it during a walk of faith this past year. There has been a fruitful harvest in the calling he has over my bakery and I. Everything I bake is made purely out of love, grace, and prayer.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I am a mama of four kiddos, I work part time at a dental office, and run my bakery full time. It is not always easy balancing it all, while giving the much deserved attention and time to each one. Finding your balance, your routine, and perfecting your recipes all come with challenges, but they can absolutely be done!

I like to say that I am a well rounded bakery. I like to be able to have options available for all needs, dietary restrictions, and occasions. These can range from bridal cakes, to granola, to cookies and everything in between. I offer gluten free and sugar free options as well. My ingredients Are hand picked from all the fresh local markets. All items can be customized through a detailed one on one discussion, and each item also comes with a prayer card.
