Community Highlights: Meet Lauren Myer and Grace Scott of Live Well Columbus

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lauren Myer and Grace Scott  

Hi Lauren and Grace, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Prior to Grace bringing her enthusiasm and killer work ethic to serving her real estate clients, she spent 10 years in International Recruiting, honing master negotiation skills and expertly getting people where they wanted to be as seamlessly as possible. 

Meanwhile, Lauren was doing the corporate hustle by juggling the demands of Business Development for an Ad Agency, leveraging her 15 years in Marketing – seamlessly managing complex projects by communicating effectively with multiple teams to drive meaningful results, both internal and external. 

As Grace and Lauren became mothers, the challenges of working corporate jobs while raising young children shifted their priorities and expectations of their careers. 

Real estate was something both Grace and Lauren had a passion for, and eventually, they each pursued that passion and found themselves with Fathom Realty. 

Fathom is a cloud-based, tech-driven, full-service Real Estate Brokerage – which allows agents to grow their business their own way, meaning Fathom agents have the ability to tailor the experience to their client’s needs instead of sticking to a franchise script or cookie-cutter one-size-fits-all approach. The freedom Grace and Lauren would have to build a brand and have control over their customer experience was a major appeal, and ultimately why they each chose Fathom as their Brokerage. 

Years later, Grace and Lauren finally met at a Fathom Realty event and became fast friends as they bonded over motherhood, city living, and the fast-paced life of a realtor – #realtorlife. 

Over time they shared their wins and their struggles and hopes for finding that ever elusive balance we’re all in search of – until one day they realized “two heads are better than one”. Through their friendship, their mutual respect of each other’s work ethic, and their desire to build an elevated customer experience, they formed Live Well Columbus. 

“We built Live Well under the unifying concept that everyone deserves to ‘live well, learn plenty, laugh often, love much’ – Ralph Waldo Emerson. Ultimately, living well can mean different things to everyone, but your home, your community, your surroundings, and your environments impact how we live. We want everyone to LOVE where they live.” Lauren Myer 

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Can anything be “smooth” with kids amid a pandemic? 

While building a brand from scratch isn’t a cakewalk, having Lauren’s deep marketing expertise and Grace’s smooth ability to chat up anyone and build real connections, getting their partnership up and running was surprisingly smooth. 

In the early days, each would frequently comment at how fluidly things were coming together. 

Even now, each meeting or phone conversation between them begins with praise of the other. 

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Every transaction in Real Estate is different; the property, the terms, the needs of the buyers and sellers, and the personalities of the Agents. We don’t operate under any assumptions or preconceived notions of how things will go. Instead, we perform our due diligence and adapt to each situation with our client’s goals top of mind. We leverage our experience and our ability to pivot to positively influence every deal. 

We serve our clients by being authentic, fluid, and transparent – We don’t do “pushy sales”.
