Community Highlights: Meet Karen Sacksteder of Sacksteders Interiors

Today we’d like to introduce you to Karen Sacksteder. 

Hi Karen, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I am an American story of hard work and success. I started Sacksteders Interiors 33 years ago with a 500.00 investment. Fast forward all the hard work including all the lifelong employees of this company has put us in the forefront of Interior Design. 

Sacksteders Interiors is a retail store offering a design service for residential and light commercial needs. I feel our success has thrived thru fair affordable prices while delivering quality furniture and home decor. 

Our stores are unique on how we display and romance our furniture. We have a knack of telling a story about our pieces that the customer can understand if they are looking to update their home. 

We pride ourselves on teaching our customers “Why” and not pressure them to buy what they might not need or really do not like. The customer needs to feel good about their home and the decisions they will make for their families and friends to enjoy their home. 

Our staff are like family and the customers feel secure coming in to see us. They are always welcome to stop in. 

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
15 years ago, my husband and business partner passed away at 52 years old, I was 49. 

He always teased me about “You have No Idea what all I do” he was Right. 

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Sacksteders Interiors?
We offer a full range of interior design services we assist clients with new construction, restoration and renovation. We are available to work with your architect and contractors from the earliest stages of planning your project to the final decisions. 

The holidays are right around the corner, and I wanted to personally let you know why this year will be more special than ever! 

As you know, 2020 threw everyone for a loop. Many friends and families didn’t get together for the holidays last year just to be safe. But all the studies I’m reading say now that the vaccine is here, the holiday celebrations will be bigger and better than ever this year. 

For a lot of businesses in the home decor space, though, that’s a perfect storm when you think about all the disrupted operations, inventory and supply chains worldwide. Less supply, more demand. 

As a business owner, that’s really scary. But after 33 years, I have great relationships with my suppliers, and I’ve always kept my warehouses full. So, I feel especially lucky these days to not be dealing with those delays and long waits for customers. I have tons of furniture and decor inventory in-stock and available to take home off the floor or we can deliver within 7 days! And as always, we do holiday decorating services for homes and offices, and we’re already getting filled up for this year! So exciting to help people and businesses celebrate in a big way this year after a year of not being able to! 

This year, I’m also offering Tree Decorating Kits, for those who want to take their tree to the next level this year. All you need is the tree! No searching decor and craft stores for all the pieces you need to make your tree look professionally decorated. You order the kit online and it’s sent to you with everything you need. We have demonstration videos that are really helpful in walking you through every step and making it fun! 

Because that’s what the holidays SHOULD be about right? Fun, festivities, family and friends. I’m so happy that’s back this year, and that we have everything at Sacksteder’s to make that happen for everyone without the wait. I’d love it if you’d like to come out and visit one of our stores here soon. We’re encouraging all customers to come early this year to make sure you get everything you need to make the holidays sparkle more than ever.
