Today we’d like to introduce you to Jessica Rosser

Hi Jessica, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today.
I grew up with a ton of aunts and uncles. And my parents were the first in their friend group to have kids. So, I was in my fair share of weddings as a child. I took “flower-girling” seriously! When I was 14 and could legally work, I started out as a coat checker at Pine Ridge Country Club. From there, I became a server. And after college, I experienced the “wedding boom.” I quickly learned that I was everyone’s go-to girl for all things “wedding.” I knew how to tweak timelines for the best photo outcomes. I knew how to stack the table so the food could fit without looking cluttered. I learned to bustle a dress quicker than anyone I’d ever met. Fast forward through most of my 20s, and I had officially been in over 20 weddings. So, I decided to capitalize on this! And so, Bridal Bliss by Design was born a month before the lockdown. I became fluent in planning, re-planning, pausing, and restarting everything a wedding entails. And I’ve loved every second of it.

We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Be it that I finally took the plunge on my own in February 2020, I learned a lot about how to be a “fixer,” how to plan an entire wedding, and how to re-plan it. Speaking of re-planning, one of my favorite “bumps in the road” would be my sister’s wedding, which I worked on in southern Ohio. They were set to get married at a beautiful new venue in 5 days. They both owned a gym, and my now brother-in-law is a firefighter. That Sunday night, he received a call from his chief. Their venue was up in flames and continued to burn to a crisp through the night, mere days before their big day. I put the ball in motion, calling everywhere and anywhere that would let us host the ceremony and reception. I bargained with places to allow us to use her same vendors- and pay later since she’d just finished paying her final bills. Finally, she found a location, only to discover her photographer (and a bridesmaid) had COVID. Then, after setting up a beautiful outdoor ceremony, it began to rain. We found her backup photographers. We moved everything inside. We moved around the timeline to what would calm her the most. And it was a gorgeous day. If I can handle that, I can handle anything.

Thanks – so, what else should our readers know about Bridal Bliss by Design LLC?
I live and breathe weddings. And I love all things love. I was once a bridal stylist. I am ordained, and I can plan and coordinate your big day. I am genuinely full-service. I am known (so far) as the planner who becomes your best friend. I will know all of your ins and outs before the big day. Because on the big day, couples should only be concerned with each other. And rest assured that “I’ve got them.” I am very proud of my ability to network with others within the Bridal Industry. I recently held the first annual Boutique Bridal Show at The Club Lounge in Willoughby. There was a beautiful turnout. There is something special about getting together with other vendors and presenting them to future clients in a setting that doesn’t scream “Give me your money,” as you experience at many larger shows. For vendors, meeting one another and growing your book of referrals was incredibly friendly. I want readers to know that I am booking into 2025 already, and it is never too soon to hire me! Planning and Coordinating often seems like something that you think about last. However, weddings are stressful. So, the sooner I am on board, the better. And I have services to cater to everyone. Hands-on brides: that’s great! Day-of or month-of coordination would work best. This will allow me to keep everything running smoothly. Need your hand held every step of the way? Full planning would be best for you. I will break down what needs to be done month-by-month, so you’re not overwhelmed or over budget. Everything is custom-based on the wants and needs of my brides and grooms. For me, planning a wedding is truly second nature.

Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
Growing up, I was always the girly girl. (I still am). Always playing dress up (can you guess my favorite thing to dress up as was a bride?), cheerleading, singing, dancing. I was always very social (I have several teachers’ comments on report cards to prove it). From a young age, I have always been interested in making others happy. Most of this has spilled over into adulthood.
