Hi Emily, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Every business starts with an idea. Ours started with a wedding.

When we were planning our own wedding, we quickly realized how difficult it was to find vendors who could truly communicate with both our English- and Spanish-speaking families. We wanted every guest to feel welcomed, included, and part of the celebration—not separated by language.

That experience planted a seed.

We realized there were countless families throughout Central Ohio facing the same challenge. We knew there had to be a better way to celebrate life’s biggest moments while making every guest feel comfortable, regardless of the language they spoke.

In June 2023, Event Captura was born.

What began as one photo booth and a dream has grown into Columbus’ first bilingual photo booth company, serving weddings, quinceañeras, corporate events, schools, nonprofits, birthdays, and celebrations of every kind. We built Event Captura on one simple belief:

From the very beginning, our mission has never been just about taking pictures. It’s about creating experiences that bring people together, spark conversations, create laughter, and preserve memories that last long after the event ends.

As a family-owned business, we understand that every event represents months—sometimes years—of planning. That’s why we obsess over every detail, from the first inquiry to the final photo. We believe in honest pricing, exceptional customer service, and treating every event as if it were our own.

Over the years, we’ve continued to innovate by introducing new experiences to Ohio, including being the first company in the state to offer our Keychain Station, giving guests a personalized keepsake they can take home the same day. We’ve expanded our services to include digital booths, print booths, 360 experiences, AI-powered SmartSketch, and custom activations for businesses and special events.

Today, Event Captura is more than a photo booth company.

We had a lot of support from the start and within a month of opening the business we got our first event.

It’s seeing grandparents laughing alongside their grandchildren, coworkers letting loose at a corporate event, friends gathering around the photo booth, and families from different backgrounds celebrating together. We love watching complete strangers become friends while waiting for a photo and seeing guests leave with a smile and a memory they can hold onto forever.

As a bilingual company, one of our greatest joys is creating an environment where both English- and Spanish-speaking guests feel equally welcomed and included. Knowing that we’ve helped every guest feel like they truly belonged is what makes our work so meaningful.
