Community Highlights: Meet Dallin Windsor of The Ninja Hive

Today we’d like to introduce you to Dallin Windsor.

Hi Dallin, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
So I am 28 years old and was born in Arizona. Growing up my family moved around for work very frequently. After the age of 5 it was every 2-3 years we lived in Arizona, Las Vegas, Puerto Rico, Oklahoma, The Philippines, Oklahoma, Mexico. It was hard moving and having to start from scratch every few years. The main thing that helped me feel included no matter where I lived was sports. I grew up playing sports, t-ball, football, basketball, wrestling, track, cross country, rock climbing, and Rugby. I played a bit of everything. From a young kid I knew I wanted my career to involve sports. First I wanted to be a sports therapist, then a personal trainer and finally what I am today is a gym owner.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It was definitely hard moving so frequently and having to create new friends every couple years and knowing that most likely you won’t see them again. Playing sports and being on teams made it easier but I was always in a position of “the new kid” and always had to prove myself and work harder to earn my spot. However church and family have been so consistent and supportive in my life that It made me feel not alone.

As you know, we’re big fans of The Ninja Hive . For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
The Ninja Hive is a Ninja Warrior Gym! If you’ve ever seen the tv show American ninja warrior it is just like that. I have. 10,000 sqft gym full of obstacles for toddlers all the way up to pro athletes. We offer open gyms, classes, memberships, birthday parties, competitions, summer camps and Holliday parties! What sets our gym apart is the culture and community we are building here at our facility. One of my main goals is to provide a safe place for families and kids to come exercise, play with friends, and feel like part of The Ninja Hive Family.

Do you have any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
One of my favorite childhood memories was our Christmas vacation. Instead of presents we collectively decided to go on a vacation and we got to spend so much time together doing cool stuff. We went to Cambodia, Vietnam, Hong Kong, and Bali.
