Today we’d like to introduce you to Courtney Tucker.
Hi Courtney, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today.
I never know how to tell my story. It sounds so crazy when I think about it, but I guess in true millennial fashion, that’s how I am where I am today. I grew up playing sports my whole life; I knew I was either going into something in the sports world or becoming a vet. Well…life comes at you fast. I quickly let go of the vet dream when I realized I didn’t want to stay in school that long and as for my sports dream…let’s just say I’m in the Digital Marketing field now.
I seriously graduated college with no idea on what I wanted to do; fast forward, I ended up landing a job as a Health and Wellness Director. Somewhere along the way of running the social media account and my random love for making graphics, I up and left that job and started Lemon Milk. All I heard in the back of my head was my parents saying, “You need a job with benefits!” Well, I was the furthest from that now as a full-time entrepreneur just winging it as I go. It was one of those, don’t be afraid to start over when you realize you aren’t living your desired life moments.
But hey, Lemon Milk is my baby! I started this journey in April 2021 and haven’t looked back since. I’ve been blessed enough to have a successful business working with some local favorites such as Revel OTR Winery all the way to celebs like Anderson Paak and his record label. I’ve branded whole festivals for companies, designed a beer can label (shoutout to Tim Bryson!), and just really been involved in some dope happenings because I took a leap of faith.
Cincinnati is my home, and one thing I look forward to is being able to help more brands and companies here grow to their potential! So, here’s to more growth for the city and Lemon Milk together!
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Ha, smooth like I-75 in Cincinnati! Seriously, it’s been tough, but I wouldn’t trade it for the world. The transition from corporate to entrepreneur life is not for the weak. When you run a business majority solo, you are the marketing department, the sales team, and everything in between. I’m thankful I have more help now, but running a business is a beast. Peaks and Valleys. Some months it all seems worth it, and then others, you’re ready to throw in the towel. Dealing with the “tech” world means dealing with electronics, and boy oh boy. I’ve had to replace a few laptops and phones, but at the end of the day, I make it work. Always make it work.

I launched Lemon Milk in April 2021 as a full-service Creative Digital Agency. We help brands thrive by crafting brand identities and more that are not only distinctive but strategic as well. We specialize in social media management, website design, graphic design, and branding. Our team is progressive, forward-thinking, and skilled to bring brands to their best digital life. Our design and development approach creates engaging & impactful brands.
We really take pride in building relationships with our clients to better understand them and be able to, in a way, become them. Capturing brand voices and amplifying it is something we take full pride in.
We’re here to walk a path that hasn’t been carved before.
What matters most to you?
Impact & Purpose. God.
I’m slowly making an impact in spaces, but I want to be able to leave a dent on this big world. Really make a change for the next ones up and my family. With that comes realizing my purpose, which is a whole journey in itself. We’ll get there. Then there’s the big man upstairs. Whenever I’m in doubt, I look to Him to provide an answer. He hasn’t failed me, so I’d say it’s working!
Lastly, huge shout out to my mom who continues to be an inspiration to work hard daily and always encourages me to pursue my goals. Having someone to turn to for guidance and encouragement is invaluable!
