When asked how I got started, my journey into bartending and mixology feels like a story of natural evolution—one rooted in passion and self-belief. For years, I was fascinated by the art of bartending. The creativity of mixing flavors, the energy of the atmosphere, and the connection built through a simple cocktail always intrigued me. Eventually, I took the leap and became a bartender, which allowed me to refine my craft and explore mixology on a deeper level. Creating drinks became more than just a job; it became a passion and a hobby that brought me joy.
In 2023, I decided to take a chance on myself and bring my vision to life with Elevated Mobile Bar. The idea was to combine my skills with my love for crafting experiences and deliver something unique to the Columbus, Ohio, community. What started as a dream quickly blossomed into a thriving business.
I’ve been fortunate to bartend for a variety of events, from engagements and baby showers to birthdays and more. Each event is a chance to bring people together and celebrate their special moments with something extraordinary. At the same time, I’ve developed my own events, like pop up Fridays, to engage the community and provide a platform for local vendors and Black-owned businesses.
What makes my business truly special is its personal touch. Every cocktail crafted and every event hosted carries a piece of me. My signature rose garnish, for example, is a tribute to my grandfather, who helped create a beautiful rose garden at the local park in our hometown of Lorain. Roses are more than just a garnish; they represent love, growth, and the legacy he left behind.
Where I am now is just the beginning. I’m proud of what Elevated Mobile Bar has become—a reflection of my journey, my creativity, and my commitment to bringing people together. As I look to the future, I’m focused on growth, new collaborations, and continuing to curate unforgettable experiences. My ultimate goal is to inspire others to believe in their dreams, just as I believed in mine.

Embarking on the journey to establish Elevated Events Mobile Bar was both exhilarating and daunting. One of the most significant challenges I faced was self-doubt. The idea of launching my own business seemed overwhelming, and I often questioned whether I possessed the necessary skills and resilience to succeed. Overcoming this internal barrier required a conscious effort to believe in myself and my vision.
In addition to battling self-doubt, I faced the practical challenge of balancing my full-time role as a general manager at a bar with the demands of building a new business. Juggling these responsibilities was taxing, often leading to long hours and physical exhaustion. Time management became crucial as I navigated the complexities of both roles.
Furthermore, entering the mobile bar industry presented its own set of obstacles. From understanding the legal requirements and obtaining necessary licenses to managing logistics and marketing, each step required meticulous planning and execution. The mobile bar industry can be subject to seasonal fluctuations, with business activity varying based on the time of year and weather conditions. 
Despite these challenges, my passion for mixology and community engagement fueled my determination. Each hurdle became an opportunity to learn and grow, ultimately shaping Elevated Events Mobile Bar into the thriving business it is today.
