Hi Anilah, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started my business at the age of 16. I have always been a huge lip-gloss lover, but I could never find the right lip-glosses for me, so I decided to create my own products that were all-natural, long-lasting, and no white flaking! I have now expanded my business into having a skin care line. All my products are natural, so they have many benefits that store-bought items don’t have. After a lot of thoughts of giving up, being low on sales, getting discouraged, I started to tell myself not to give up because there are now people who look up to me and my business, people who look forward to me launching new items and restocking and most importantly people who support and cheer me on want to continue to see me grow. It is okay to have doubts, but you can’t give up because of the minor setbacks you have; things happen for a reason, and All my Success couldn’t have happened without God! When you learn to have faith and trust the process, it’ll all be so worth it in the end!
We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
There have been days and even weeks where there are no sales coming through, but I don’t let that stop me from promoting my business; those are the moments where I continue to make growth and build up my business even if I’m not making money in that moment, I am still putting me and my business out there. There are going to be people who try to set you back out of spite and jealousy, but you have to learn to ignore those people and put you and your passion first. Learn from your mistakes and look to see what you’ll do better moving forward.
We’ve been impressed with All Lips Cosmetics, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
All Lips Cosmetics is an all-natural lip-gloss, lip care, and skin care line. All items are homemade with love. Everything is made for all skin type since they are made with natural ingredients. My business is mostly known for our lip-gloss, soap, and sugar scrubs. My business is different from others because not only do I sell natural items, but I teach my customers how to use our items, what is inside them, how to help them work for you specifically, and more. I am proud that my brand has came a long way, from the look of my inventory to it being expanded to having more products that people enjoy. My business is to help others feel comfortable in their skin, we are also very welcoming, anyone can shop with us and feel loved! Here at All Lips, you will become a returning customer!
Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
I believe that luck comes with things you won’t expect to happen to you, but it will. If you continue to put yourself out there, someone will see you showing your business off, and they can be from anywhere around the world!
