Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
During what would probably been one of the most depressing times in my life, facing a pandemic, I lost someone close to me due to mental health depressing which led to suicide. In the midst of the storm, I decided to add new life. New happiness and start a family with the love of my life. When I got pregnant, I had no idea it was two! I immediately went on medical leave from work which was my entire pregnancy, to just focus on me and my babies while keeping us safe. While being off work, I knew this was the perfect opportunity to enroll back into school because I have the time off. I decided to go to school to get my Esthetician’s license. While going to school I found a studio suite that I worked on every day for months to get it ready to open once I got my license. I was tired, I mean exhausted but I was determined. Sure enough my last day of school is the day my water broke and the day I completed my program. At that very moment, I knew this was my purpose. Because during this entire journey carrying my twins, going to school, working on my spa, God gave me the energy and the momentum every day to keep going and never give up. I finally found my passion! Shortly after the twins were born, I took a little time off and I was back at it. My spa was officially open on May 24th, 2021, which is my father’s birthday. He is deceased. So that date is very special to me. Fast forward coming up on my 1-year mark, I went from moving to a new town, opening a new business with 0 clients to servicing off 400 clients, to now expanding. I’m relocating my spa to a building and bringing other license estheticians to be a part of my team. It’s been nothing but blessings to watch and witness my own growth and sit back and say I did this! Through all the trials and ups and downs, I kept my faith and my faith is what led me to where I am today! I couldn’t be more proud or more happy to have found my purpose and passion doing absolutely what I love.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
This journey has actually been a smooth road, want to know why? Because God knew this was what I was supposed to be doing. The fire I had in me I knew I had no choice but to make it work. God stuck by my side the entire process and got me through it. He made a way when I thought there was no way. He pushed me when I saw my limits to realize there is no limits to what I can do! Even the little hiccups I did encounter weren’t so bad because I always looked at it as a temporary problem. I didn’t let those struggles define me because my faith was much greater. Overall, this experience has been life-changing and life learning lessons.

What matters most to you?
My faith matters the most to me. The reason I chose my faith because without faith that God has me through it all I wouldn’t have made to as far as I did today! I had enough faith to trust God’s process and God’s timing that everything was going to be okay and that my time was coming. My time is now.
