Today we’d like to introduce you to Will Pohlman.
Hi Will, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
For as long as I can remember, I have always wanted to start my own business. Photography has always been my main passion, a creative outlet that also allowed me to make money. One reason I wanted to start my own business is because I never liked the idea of having a “Boss”. I knew what I wanted and I needed to make a big change to pursue my dream full time. So, I made the decision to drop out of College. That was what started the fire in me, if I wasn’t going to go the school route, I would have to discipline myself and work harder than ever. Starting a business and becoming my own boss came with a different set of challenges, but I wanted to prove to myself that I was capable. From 2019 – 2021, I went from a college drop out working at Starbucks to becoming a full time Automotive Photographer. Since I’ve gone full time in 2021, I have worked incredibly hard to dial in my photography and business skills as well as expand my network and clientele.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
No, the journey has not been easy. I got where I am today by hard work and determination. By believing in my passion and trusting my intuition. There were many challenges along the way like learning how to start an LLC, managing my own income and learning how to pay taxes as a self- employed individual. I was lucky enough to meet people along the way who pointed me in the right direction. As I am learning these days, one of the main challenges is dealing with self doubt. The daily “you vs you”. My best piece of advice would be; relax, enjoy the journey. Everything happens for a reason, learn the lessons provided by a situation or event and keep going. Never quit, you never know… all your desires could be right around the corner.

I specialize in Automotive Photography and Videography. As a Photographer, I focus on high-end Automotive Photography, showing off the essence of luxury cars. Some examples of high-end brands are Bugatti, Porsche, Ferrari, Lamborghini, etc. I photograph cars for online sale listings like “Bring a Trailer” or for private collectors who want to capture their vehicles in an artistic fashion. I specialize in photographing wheels for companies in the wheel industry like Vossen, Signature Wheels and Forgelite. I’ve had the pleasure in working with Avery Dennison to create videos revealing new colors for vinyl wraps. I create content for Ceramic Pro Cleveland, showing off their protective coatings and detailing. I also have had an incredible opportunity to film Semi-Truck Drag Racing for Kuhnle Brothers at Kuhnle Motorsports Park. Lastly, I photograph a 65 car road rally each year called the “Recharge Rally”. Along with all the photography work, I also am able to create photo books and sell prints of my work to clientele.
I am proud of all the work I do for these companies above. I am proud of my ability to network and collaborate on the vision of what makes a car a piece of art.
Any big plans?
Yes, massive changes! This month, my girlfriend and I are closing on a house, our first home together! We are looking forward to settling in and enjoying life. Business wise, I plan on continuing to expanding my network and find new opportunities. I look forward to what the universe has in store for me.
