Today we’d like to introduce you to Vitalii Hutsuliak.
Hi Vitalii, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
For the last ten years, I have been working as a wedding and family photographer. It was my life’s work, and it really inspired me! Also, for the last 4 years, I have been interested and developing in photo retouching. My first clients were my colleagues, but over time, I started looking for clients abroad and working with clothing brands. After the full-scale invasion of Russia in 2022, I completely moved into the field of retouching, and I am very happy that I made this decision. I incredibly enjoy being a part of the projects I’m involved in!
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The beginning of my development in this area was difficult, but it seems to me that this is the case in most areas in which you start your career. However, if you love it and you don’t give up, everything will work out!
And so, it happened – after I acquired the basic skills and realized in which direction I needed to move, everything began to improve. In my field, it is also very important to always improve your skills and learn new techniques and methods. I always try to take educational courses in my field to keep up with the latest trends.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
So, I work as a photo retoucher. I provide retouching services for wedding, family photos, and I also specialize in portraits, clothing brands, and other types of retouching. My main goal is the same as my clients, and that is to provide them with the best quality edited photos that will grow their photography business and make their clients completely satisfied! I help my clients to automate their photography business and maintain a work-life balance. After all, delegation is the way to success.
Well, the profession of a retoucher is a specific profession, and probably 99% of the results of our work remain behind the scenes. In most projects, clients want to work on a confidential basis. I respect this and always guarantee it to every customer.
Probably, I am most proud that I had a chance to collaborate on several projects with one of the world’s most famous clothing brands. However, due to confidentiality conditions, I can’t mention its name 🙂
I always try to provide my clients with the best service, understand their needs as best as possible, and give them the fastest result! Good retoucher = fast retoucher;)
