Today we’d like to introduce you to TrigNO .
Hi TrigNO, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I started off rapping in elementary school. Fell in love with writing songs at a young age. I also picked up dance along the way which caught a lot of people’s eye. After I finished high school, I auditioned to be a backup dancer & made it. Got a little taste of tour life & that gave me more drive to make my own music. The moment I dropped a music video called “taxfree”, people caught onto it and I’ve been growing my fan base ever since.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It hasn’t been the smoothest and it still isn’t. My biggest struggle was telling people I made music after they seen how good I was at Dancing. Probably the most devastating response while selling a CD was “when’s your next dance class”. Now the struggles are different but that one got under my skin a lot back then.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I make music, write music, Dance & DJ. I specialize in all of these. I’m most proud of sticking with music for all of these years and never giving up. I don’t know too many people who do more than one art form at a high level (at least in my field) so that would set me apart.
We’re always looking for the lessons that can be learned in any situation, including tragic ones like the Covid-19 crisis. Are there any lessons you’ve learned that you can share?
I learned so much about others and how they react to certain situations and under pressure more than lessons for myself during the pandemic. Sometimes everything is easier when you remain in control of what involves you (me).
