Today we’d like to introduce you to Terry Beauford II.

Hi Terry, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Let’s Party Rental Services, LLC was established in September 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic. During that time, I noticed a significant loss of social connection among people. As we practiced social distancing and limited face-to-face interactions, many of us began to lose the sense of community and personal connection that brings people together. This inspired me to create Let’s Party Rental Services, LLC with the goal of helping families, friends, and communities reconnect through memorable gatherings and special events.

Today, I am proud to say that my goal, vision, and mission have come true. Over the years, I have had the privilege of being a part of many amazing family gatherings, community events, and corporate celebrations. Seeing people come together to create lasting memories and strengthen their connections has been incredibly rewarding and serves as a reminder of why Let’s Party Rental Services, LLC was founded.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The road has not always been smooth. One of the biggest challenges has been self-funding my business. As a Black and minority business owner, there are often many barriers and obstacles to overcome when trying to establish a business and secure funding. These challenges can be a real deterrent for entrepreneurs just starting out.

Fortunately, I have been able to persevere. With the encouragement and support of my big brother, Tyrone, also known as “Made By Mannie,” along with my family, friends, and organizations such as the Black Chamber of Commerce Summit County, I have been able to push through some of the most challenging days.

Their belief in me, combined with my determination and faith in my vision, has helped me continue growing Let’s Party Rental Services, LLC and serving the communities that mean so much to me.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
In my professional career, I’m a Rating Veterans Service Representative (RVSR) for the Department of Veterans Affairs. It has been an incredible honor to serve those who have dedicated their lives to serving our country. I have been with the Department of Veterans Affairs for more than 10 years, and I truly enjoy helping veterans secure the benefits they have earned and deserve.

What sets me apart is that I did not personally serve in the military. However, my mother proudly served in the U.S. Army and instilled in me the core values of service, community, and supporting others regardless of race, gender, or background. Her example taught me the importance of giving back and helping those in need.

Those same values guide me both in my career and as the owner of Let’s Party Rental Services, LLC. Whether I am assisting veterans with their benefits or helping families, businesses, and communities create memorable events, my mission remains the same: to serve others, bring people together, and make a positive impact in the lives of those around me.

Can you talk to us about how you think about risk?
The biggest risk I have ever taken was starting my own business and having the confidence to pursue my vision. In the beginning, it’s natural to doubt yourself because it can be truly frightening to start something without knowing whether it will succeed. You hope it will, but the uncertainty is always lingering in the back of your mind.

However, once you take that leap of faith and move forward, it is amazing to see the growth that comes from overcoming challenges and pushing through obstacles. For me, one of the most rewarding experiences has been watching my business grow year after year. With each booking I secured, my confidence increased, and my vision became clearer.

While I have not yet reached my ultimate goal, I am proud of the progress I have made and the milestones I have achieved along the way. Every challenge has taught me valuable lessons, and every success has reinforced my belief that I am on the right path. I remain committed to growing Let’s Party Rental Services, LLC and turning my long-term vision into reality.
