Today we’d like to introduce you to Nesha Gregory.
Hi Nesha, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My name is Nesha Gregory, and I was born and raised in Toledo, Ohio. My mother, Sonya Wilson, and father, Kenneth Gregory, brought into this world, June 1996. I was a 2014 Central Catholic High School graduate and later received my Bachelor’s Degree in Film/Video at the University of Toledo in 2018. Once I graduated, I began to offer photography services under my business, POSE419 LLC and even had some of my work published on DoorDash. After a while, I started working as a studio manager for a few months in 2023, and during that time, I made the decision to start a podcast with my cousin, Samone Alexander, She is Me Podcast, found on YouTube, Amazon Music, Apple Music, and iHeart Radio.
Throughout the time of being a studio manager and podcast cohost, I decided to write a book, B Stands For Brilliance: A Memoir to Black Women. My book was recently published on Amazon Direct Publishing and can also be found on TikTok Shop. My book reflects the importance of embracing one’s heritage while developing self-love, self-awareness and celebrating black women’s contributions. I also speak about my own personal experiences being a dark-skin black girl growing up in society and how I learned to love within. My book is paired with a journal that allows you to reflect as you read while following the prompted questions throughout the book. There are also special additions dedicated to women with Albinism and Vitiligo because there is such a decline in representation for these women, and it’s up to us to create these spaces.
I live for creating and expressing oneself without judgment. I know that my purpose involves innovation and inspiring those around me through my creativity. I recently spoke to a group of 6th-grade girls at the Ella P Stewart Elementary School for Girls here in Toledo, Ohio. I was truly overwhelmed with gratitude, and it was honestly a full circle moment for me because I was once a young girl influenced by other women, and now being one of those women for these girls is an indescribable feeling. I plan to continue to inspire those with my story and follow whatever God’s will is for my life.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
The road has not always been easy. My parents did the best that they could with what they had, but there were times of struggle. As well as believing in my ability to accomplish the things that I have. We can be our own worst enemy sometimes, but once I learned that your mentality can affect your success, I worked hard on developing healthier habits.

I am a business owner, photographer, videographer, podcast host, and published author. I am most proud of everything that I have accomplished. Obtaining my own business POSE419 LLC started the mindset that I can achieve all things I desire with consistency and dedication, The thing that sets me apart form other is that I move with passion and purpose. Most people do things for financial gain, but creating fulfills my happiness, and I wake up every day and love what I do.
We love surprises, fun facts, and unexpected stories. Is there something you can share that might surprise us?
Something most people do not know about me is that I am overwhelmed a lot of the time. I do a pretty good job at masking what I am going through with a big smile or jokes, but internally, I battle anxiety, fear of failure, and self-doubt. But it is a process every day to keep an optimistic mindset and speak positively to oneself.
