Check Out Kylie King’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kylie King

Hi Kylie, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I went to Meigs High School and rode my horse in 4H during all of my school years. I have always valued the love of my family and my various animals. I have lived on my family’s farm since birth. I worked at a small boutique after school where I mainly cared for the gardens, weed-whacked, and made hand-made wreaths out of dried flowers. My favorite class was always Spanish and I was in Spanish Honor Society in Highschool. After graduation I started working at a Mexican restaurant while attending Ohio University. During the pandemic of 2020 I began making funny videos on TikTok and my videos went viral! I made silly videos with my rooster, horses, and cats. From there I no longer had to work, as I began making money from social media. In 2022 I graduated from OU with a major in Spanish and a certificate in Latin American Studies. I was accepted into Graduate School but I did not end up going that fall, because I wanted to start traveling the world instead. While making my videos (and growing to a following of over 9 million on TikTok, 4 million on Facebook, and 1 million on Instagram, 500,000 on YouTube) I began to travel to several counties in Latin America!! It has become my passion to travel to different countries and make my videos! In 2024, I have went to 6 different countries! I also bought two new horses this year. I continue to love my little country home, but traveling to other countries and sharing my experiences has been an absolute amazing blessing. I plan to continue traveling the world and sharing my adventures! While at home, I still enjoy riding horses very often and raising chickens. I have always loved learning about Latin America because the culture has always appeared so bright and colorful, vibrant, fun, and happy. Now that I have began going to those counties I see that it truly is a joyous place and even though there is lots of poverty, the people are kind and always find time to spend with family and go dancing. I’d like to invite more family and friends from the USA to go visit some of the places I have been. I also love to express the importance of equality and acceptance and peace on earth.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I can honestly say that it has been a smooth road and having a positive mind and having a consistent dedication to uploading content online almost daily for going on five years has allowed me to have this success! However, I have been so blessed that so many people enjoy hearing me speak their language! All of my videos are in Spanish! However, I have struggled from time to time with my videos getting “stolen” by fake pages! It is so stressful to dedicate yourself to something and see someone else taking the credit, or creating pages under my name and saying things that I never said. The pages appear so real, that they have thousands of followers and the people think that it’s really me! Also, they have even succeeded in “stealing” the monetization from my videos and claiming that they are the creators. Also, sometimes people have disliked me and reported my page for different things, and this makes my page tell me that I’m in risk of getting my page closed. That is very upsetting because I would hate to lose something that I’ve worked so hard for. Starting over with a new page would be really hard. People also sometimes leave very mean comments, and that is very hard to ignore sometimes.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I make online videos about my life! I usually try to be funny and I show off my silly animals. I have chickens, horses, and cats! I also travel to Latin America and make videos about my amazing experiences. I am so proud of being able to show people how enlightening and inspiring it can be to travel to other countries and be a part of their culture.

Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
I want to thank my Dad for always encouraging me to keep making videos and also for taking care of my animals when I go traveling! Also I would like to thank my mom, grandma, brother, and step mom for doing the same!
