Check Out Jazmine Byrd’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jazmine Byrd

Hi Jazmine, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
My sister (Amber Byrd) and I started My Fetish Swim in 2020. We LOVE travel and the beach and swimwear is a huge part of our vacation experience, and it always has been. from the time were little girls. I think our mother is to blame for out Fetish for Lavish swimwear and vacations.
When we started traveling internationally and posting about it we got lots of questions about how we were able to afford such lavish vacations and where we were getting our outfits.
So, we decided to turn our love for travel and fashion into a business that would allow other women to discover their love for the same and thus, MyFetishSwim LLC and its subdivisions were born!!
Since then we’ve hosted over 40 different travelers, on 9 successful group trips to 6 different countries, 3 U.S. states and countless cities. And we’re loading up the 2026 calender as we speak!!!

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The road has absolutely NOT been smooth by any means! lol.
Our biggest struggles have been time and the SWIMWEAR!!!
Sourcing fabrics and having samples made is a daunting task when we both work full-time, both are moms, and both are currently working perusing an additional degree. Amber is a mom of three girls, (one set of twins), she currently a Principal at an elementary school in Columbus Ohio, who is studying to become an RN. I am a mom of two boys, and I am currently a Civil Engineer who manages Pipeline Construction sites in Cleveland Ohio and is studying to become a Computer Engineer. Talking to people in other countries on whatsapp, scouring fabric stores, and fashion districts for the right fabrics, and the perfect finishings. . . . . . man oh man, it gets rough!
We’ve had our designs stolen and sold to other retailers! For anyone thinking about getting into this, NDA’s are an absolute must! We’ve tried drop shipping but ran into supply chain issues which left us with dissatisfied customers.
You name it. we’ve experienced it! Recounting all the things we’ve experienced honestly sounds horrible and scary, but if chasing your dreams were easy everyone would do it. So we press on! We’re putting the finishing touches on our Summer line, we’re hoping to drop it early April.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
We specialize in all things travel. From planning the vacation, to providing quality swimwear, travel bags and packing needs, to even working out and getting in shape for the vacation. We are end to end, hands-on, vacation girlies!
MyFetish Swim LLC is all things travel, we have developed several sections or subdivisions of our company.
MyFetishSwim is where you can find all our swimwear! We provide size inclusive swimwear from childrens swim to 5x! Everyone can swim with us!!
HIATUS was our first subdivision. HIATUS is our line of backpacks, duffle bags, packing cubes, toiletry bags, anything you need to organize your packing and travel experience, HIATUS has it!!!
#YCSWU, which stands for You Can Swim WIth US, is our second subdivision. It is our mean girls themed travel group that hosts vacations all over the world for singles, couples, people who are 50 plus, and kids too! To Pool Parties we wear pink! We specialize in making group travel fun and affordable. We plan every detail of each vacation, including excursions and events. We offer flexible and affordable payment plans and booking up to a year in advance so that each traveler has more than enough time to save and pay for their vacation. We offer a wide range of destinations per year, from international trips, road trips, state to state, even trips as local as stay-cations or 2hrs away. We believe that everyone deserves to travel no matter what their budget or background.
VacayPrep is our third subdivision. Vacation Prep was born out of our desire to look our best on the beach in our bikinis. I (Jazmine) was an active personal trainer for many years before having children and Amber was a loyal client and workout fanatic. When we started YCSWU people were requesting workout and meal plans to get ready for the trip. So we created VacayPrep! Before each vacation we set up a walking/running challenge via the Nike run for all those who will be in attendance to participate in if they choose, the winner of the challenge does receive a prize! Jazmine also teaches a virtual workout class 4 days a week which travelers and others can participate in for a monthly fee.
Vacay Prep is really a community to motivate people to move their bodies! Weight loss is not necessarily the goal however it is a side effect of moving your body and feeling motivated by and upcoming vacation. When we go on vacation we do a lot of partying, drinking, swimming, walking and exploring, there’s a level of conditioning that a person needs to keep up with the MF Crew!

What does success mean to you?
Every time we book another trip, created another collection, complete another workout, or add a new travel group member. That’s success!!! We are not a huge company, even though that’s the goal, we may never be. But that doesn’t mean we have failed. Success is in every victory, no matter how big or how small. The opportunity to even chase your dream is a success honestly. Our ancestors we’re given these same opportunities, we have to take advantage of all the opportunities we are given.

Pricing:

  • VacayPrep is $39.99 monthy
  • None of our vacations have been over $2000 per person
  • All of our Swimwear is under the $100
