Hi Jaleesa, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
119 collection came from my loving fashion and feeling beautiful within. I love clothes, I love to shop, and I love making others around me feel amazing inside. I named my collection 119 after my late mother’s birthday. I wanted something special to me to represent me.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has not been a smooth road. Working full-time every day, and being a full-time mom it can be challenging to continue to focus on expanding your business. Sometimes I find myself distracted and I tend to procrastinate which are 2 tendencies I’m trying to stop.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I work at Cleveland clinic hospital as a patient service specialist. I’ve been working for Cleveland clinic for 7 years.
I’m most known for my outgoing personality and loving ways. I am most proud of being a mom to a beautiful boy.
What set me apart from others is I feel like I’m in my own lane, and I feel like what I want to accomplish has everything to do with what I’ve always loved as a kid and not because of what others are doing.
Any advice for finding a mentor or networking in general?
I would say always be nice and friendly and open to meeting new people because it can open doors. I love handing out my business cards or leaving them in establishments. Social media goes a long way, I’m always promoting my business on both my business and personal page. Tagging your business on other influencers’ pages, paying for page promotions, and more.
