Today we’d like to introduce you to Grace Moser.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I woke up one morning and felt inspired to start a brand. Maybe it was guided intuition. I had no background in sewing or business, but I felt a creativity inside of me that was asking to be expressed. The name of the brand and the meaning behind it came naturally after this, and it’s been a constant process of growth and learning ever since. Each of my collections has depth and meaning relating to my personal experiences and spiritual concepts.
I have released several collections and recently had my first runway show called Organic Expansion. This was the most important collection and creation I have made to date. I think it has been the truest expression of where I am currently spiritually, with messages that I hope resonate with those in similar spaces or inspire those looking to enter them.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I think the creative path inherently comes with constant patterns of death and rebirth. The process of making art sometimes comes from the darkest and deepest parts of one’s self. Acknowledging and getting to know these parts can be difficult, but the beauty of seeing them and expressing them through art is equally wonderful.
As above, so below. I have learned to truly embody my feminine energy through the years of having my brand, meaning allowing creative inspiration to come to me through feeling my emotions and intuition. It is easy to get wrapped up in worrying about productivity, as this way of life seems to be cemented into our culture. I have learned to sit back and trust that’s what meant to come to me and always will.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am a luxury streetwear designer. I hand-produce all of the clothing I make with sustainable or natural materials.
Each collection represents a specific meaning, drawn upon from personal experiences and spiritual concepts like sacred geometry. I think what sets me apart is that I am very aware of humanity’s connection to nature and I seek to express this through clothing, something not common in the current fast-paced fashion industry. I am known also for incorporating living elements like plants and mushrooms into my pieces.
Do you have recommendations for books, apps, blogs, etc?
My favorite book that has inspired me endlessly and been so influential to me along my path spiritually and creatively is The Book of Secrets by Deepak Chopra. I recommend it to anyone seeking to learn about the creative potential of humans and our connection to nature.
