Check Out Emma Gayle’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Emma Gayle

Hi Emma, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
During my sophomore year of college, I was heavily struggling with an eating disorder. I created a TikTok account called @emmasgoodvibes to help others and myself through the realities of recovery from an eating disorder. The Tiktok account started as a way to hold myself accountable for eating throughout the day, however, it created a huge community that has allowed my followers to grow with me and provided me with a platform to help others who are dealing with the same struggles.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The road has been anything but smooth. Today’s culture is one that praises those who have horrible relationships with food and exercise. So while you mentally feel better the further you are into your recovery journey, the more and more you have to stand up to what society wants you to conform to. On top of the suffocating mental struggles, I had to also fight against the physical demange I had done to my body, from severe lack of nutrition.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
What sets me apart from others is the passion behind my goals. I am someone who loves making content. I create travel vlogs on youtube, TikToks and Instagram posts, and recently, I have started a podcast. Social media allows me to create the content, however, my passion and calling from God to help others struggling with an eating disorder and showing them that there is a way out of the darkness pushes me to continue using my creative gifts for good.

What do you like and dislike about the city?
I love Cincinnati because I love the excitement and fast pace of city life. What I love least is that I hate the cold.
