Today we’d like to introduce you to Denise Stupnicki & Caroline Stephens. Them and their team share their story with us below:
All their lives, Caroline and Denise, have been helping others heal. Caroline being a massage therapist for 22 years with a listening ear and using her gifted hands to heal as guided by God. Denise always had a way with calming words through channeled advice to help others resolve their problems. Denise needed massage therapy of which Caroline provided. They became very close friends almost instantly. Caroline and Denise are people who love giving to others unconditionally. They have lots of love to give for support and to help heal others whether it is mentally, physically, and emotionally.
One day, Denise was feeling quite overwhelmed and stressed in the job she was working. Suddenly, she had a rush of ideas. She started typing notes as quickly as the ideas flooded her mind. The ideas stopped coming after about 15 minutes. When she read back through everything she typed out, there was a full business plan right in front of her! Denise could not wait to show Caroline this! Denise had shown the business plan to Caroline as a “crazy idea.” As part of the plan, Denise needed a great massage therapist and Caroline is the best she knew. Upon reviewing the business plan, Caroline was extremely excited and exclaimed “I’m in as a partner! This is our calling!”. At that moment, they realized this is the answer to both their prayers. This will be their opportunity to help more people than ever before. In October 2021, together with family and friends’ support, they began putting their heads, hearts and intuition together, then combined their energy to begin making their dreams become a reality.
As a result of following their hearts and calling, their big dream was to create a spiritual gift shop with many healing services such as massage, reiki, and spiritual classes. Arts and crafting classes to bring out creativity. Art can heal as many pour their emotions into their art. Relaxation yoga, meditation classes, and wellness workshops that will assist with relaxation and healing. Tarot readings help provide others with guidance and encouragement in life. Big comfortable recliners to help create a welcoming and very relaxed environment. No judgments are allowed in this shop! This will be the place for people to feel safe. A place for Caroline and Denise to provide the community with a place to come for peace and healing. A place to walk into and be uplifted and encouraged with a hug. A place for people to come, leave their worries at the door, and just be themselves. Their slogan is “We’re Here for You – Mind, Body & Soul”.
On April 28th, 2022, their dream was realized with a formal grand opening! They have a really nice selection of candles, crystals, jewelry, gifts, tarot cards and more. They also have books. Yes, real books! Their studio has the feel of nature with plenty of room for their classes and events with a cozy, relaxed atmosphere. The shop has a lot of natural light with an overall feeling of warmth and high positive energy vibes that hits one upon entry.
Month to month they are gaining popularity in the community. Word of mouth is their best form of advertising. Others feel the positive energy and love the open and welcoming feel of the place so they spread the word. If Caroline notices someone is very stressed or is in pain, she may give that person a short neck and shoulder massage free of charge of which she calls “testing the water”. They have people randomly pop in just to say “hi”, sit in a recliner, converse, and relax while they soak up some of the positive energy. One of their regular customers stated, “Their business is a general store of spiritual healing”. Many comment on how great the shop smells and feels.
Stop in and say “hi”. Stay a while and relax in a comfy recliner. Join a class. Engage in conversation. Come in and hang out while raising your positive vibes.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
Of course, there were many challenges! With open minds and hearts, they worked through the issues as they appeared. Challenges are embraced as a learning experience. Being new business owners, challenges are expected.
Marketing has been a challenge for them. Marketing on social media platforms was not their “friend”, however, they are making progress. They posted signs along the road in front of the store which they found is the most successful form of advertising. Their clients are helping them market by recommending them to family and friends.
Another hiccup has been the business website and not having experience building websites, making it quite a challenge. With Denise’s daughter’s assistance, the website became a reality. Other issues with the website had occurred but again, the challenge was embraced as a learning experience thus furthering their developing skills.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
3 Spirals Studio is all about healing, providing support, expanding spirituality, and bringing more positive energy into the community. This area did not have a business for spiritual classes, nor is there a place where people can relax and not feel judged. There are other gift and crystal shops in the area but this shop is different – It has a “general store” feel. There is a warm feeling upon entering. It has a lot of natural lighting, very open space yet cozy, and smells wonderful. Once a person enters, they almost immediately feel a shift of energy which is a wonderful feeling. It is not unusual for someone to get a hug, words of encouragement or a brief massage during their visit. Everyone is treated as someone special. So many times, their patrons say, “It smells wonderful here.” This shop caters to all sensations. See different things that other local shops do not have. Hear calming music. Feel the different textures from smooth to rough crystals, fabrics, pages of books, or a hug. Smell the candles and incense they have available, Taste the different flavors of tea served during their classes and events.
Pricing in their shop is reasonable compared to other stores of its type.
Massages are not “assembly line,” nor is there a variance in pricing for the type of massage provided. Each massage is tailored to the person’s specific needs and requests.
They are most proud of being able to offer a wide variety of things to see and do for all ages including children.
