Danielle, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
In 2013, I had an emergency hysterectomy. While I was recovering, I decided to try making jewelry. For many years prior, my family and I went gem mining for spring break.
After many failed attempts, I started making bracelets.
I quit my job as an Assistant Principal and made Beauty by Dani, LLC.
Beauty by Dani was a brick and mortar after Covid but the market was still slow.
So I decided to make Beauty by Dani an online store only.
Beauty by Dani has expanded from raw gemstones to Jewelry to clothing to handbags to oils to bath products.
I want Beauty by Dani to become a holistic all around natural products store.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has not been a smooth road. I have had many road blocks.
I feel like BBD is still in the growing stage. I have returned to working as a Professor at the local college to supplement my income.
My biggest challenge has been getting customers and marketing my products.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I use natural materials to make holistic products.
I love gemstones and use gemstones in most of my jewelry. I have also incorporated gemstones in my oil products as well.
I use herbs in my bath products for a natural experience.
I am so proud of how BBD has grown. I truly believe that the fact that I use raw gemstones and products from Mother Earth has set me apart from others.
If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
I believe my honesty and integrity has been an important part of my success.
