Check Out Caitlin Faas’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Caitlin Faas.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I always knew I wanted to be a teacher, so I pursued education and psychology in college, eventually becoming a psychology professor. I kept growing and studying adult development, leaning into career coaching for corporate executives. Now I give motivational talks for organizations and help teams with their communication skills.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It was very strange to want to leave the pathway that set me up for a “job for life” as a tenured psychology professor. About three years in I realized I didn’t want to do it forever. So I carved my own path. Of course, in today’s world, it’s not really a job for life for anyone anymore. But I didn’t know that at the time.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I’m a coach and motivational speaker, specializing in corporate success. I integrate my developmental psychology background to help with work life balance. I’m also a trained meditation teacher, so I help individuals move beyond being a brain on a stick.

Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
I was an enthusiastic overachiver, through and through. I thought I had to earn love through doing. I’m a lifelong learner, so I love novelty and to learn new skills.
