Check Out Brianne Core’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brianne Core.

Brianne Core

Hi Brianne, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I am so grateful to have this opportunity!! I got started pretty young, I started school my junior year of high school at the Lorain County JVS! I graduated from their two year program in 2012, with the exception of 6 months, I have been behind the chair ever since!

I worked for a franchise owned salon for the first 5 years of my career, I then had a baby & went independent in 2019! I worked in a booth rental environment for the first 2 years & then moved into a suite! I have been in my own suite for almost 3 years now & it’s been more than amazing! My 7 year business birthday is next month (January 2nd)!

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I think all roads worth traveling have many bumps & curves! The beginning of my career was very “cut & dry, hustle, hustle”. We were primarily a walk in salon! At the time that I left that salon I had just had my daughter, my daughters dad & I were a great team! When I decided to become an independent stylist he was a great support, when I decided that suite owning was the path I wanted to take he made sure that my space was exactly how I wanted it! We made it through the pandemic, coming out stronger than ever, business being great & then suddenly, unexpectedly my fiancé passed away… this is where the bumps come, big bumps. Moving from Westlake into a new space in Bay Village without my partner was very difficult… but with the help of my friends, family & the amazing salon community I was able to turn this new space into “home”! I finally feel like I’m really coming back into my own this past year or so!

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am primarily a hair colorist, hair extension specialist as well as a lash artist! I am most known for multi-dimensional hair color!! I love creating colors & styles that my clients can constantly transition with through different times in their life! Customizing their color based on their lifestyles & abilities! I believe what sets me apart from other stylists is the way I communicate with my clients with true transparency & relatability, but I also believe that it truly is “the better YOU feel YOU look, the better YOU feel!” If I can make my clients feel like a million bucks, I’ve done my job!

What’s next?
I’m really looking forward to honing in on my social media presence in the next year! I have officially created time in schedule to be able to focus on it! I also would love to start a podcast that would feature some of my clients & the conversations we have, but also balancing life behind the chair & being a momma!
