Today we’d like to introduce you to Blake Rosier
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I started doing comedy, acting and being the funniest person alive in 2005! Hailing from the bay area I moved to Los Angeles in 2013 and have loved it ever since. I love building community and live performance is where I find that most so I have kept producing my own live shows and tours throughout. Most recently I have toured my one man show over 28 states in the us and counting as well as performing my series of 120 hour livestream shows where I live and perform for 5 days straight in strange places. Videos have always been my creative haven! I started doing daily videos on instagram, youtube and tiktok @blakerosier and never looked back. I love pushing the boundaries of sarcasm and cringe in an artistic way and always towing the line of being in character or not! Been a full time actor and comedian now for 6 years and can’t wait to never retire because this is my hobby so why would I?
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Of course the struggles have been hard but honestly I could never complain about getting to do what I love every single day. I get to wake up and play pretend with my friends everyday and make people laugh, hopefully. A lot of the reasons I do comedy started as a coping mechanism for losing my dad at a young age and I vowed to always take care of my mom. Being able to help her as much as I can doing what I love is the ultimate dream and I can’t thank her enough for being my biggest supporter and friend.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I do a lot of different stuff, as all artists do! I specialize in comedic acting and am most known for my videos where I react to diy craft videos and point out the stupidity they are filled with. I am flooded with the worst algorithm of all time because of it but that is the price I pay for my service to the world. I also am known for acting in tv/film and sketch comedy. I have done awesome projects such as Quiz Lady (3 second scene with Will Ferrell), Black Jesus, Jimmy Kimmel and Conan. Also, I frequent on channels like Cherdleys, Trevor Wallace and Vlog Creations. I think what sets me apart is my constant work ethic to continuously make things. I am consistent and I love making things to show the internet!
How do you think about luck?
I don’t really believe in luck. I feel like if you are decent person and you don’t stop working you can get a career in anything you want. Of course this is all coming from a leprechaun so take that with a grain of gold.
