Today we’d like to introduce you to Bee Saunde.
Hi Bee, so excited to have you on the platform. So, before we get into questions about your work life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today.
My grandmother, my whole life taught me how to draw, used to tell me to ” draw what you see” and when I was 29, I quit my job and wasn’t sure what I was going to do my grandma took her bill money and bought me my first tattoo machine. After that, I started tattooing myself and friends.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
There definitely were ups and downs, especially when you don’t progress as fast as your mind wants you to. Learning how to navigate slow season was also a struggle at first. But after every emotion, I think everything is finally going according to plan.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I’m a tattoo artist. I specialize in color/illustrative realism I’m most proud having children who are also creative and my accomplishments.
I think what sets me apart is I really want to build a relationship with my clients; a lot of them have become amazing friends.
What matters most to you?
I always wanted to “change the world”; my brother and I have said this since we were young. I think I have found a way to do that by changing how someone looks at themselves or maybe even feel about themselves. I get to change the world one tattoo at a time
