Hi Ahmed, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I come from a family of portrait photographers. Photography has always been part of my life. As a child, I remember sneaking into the darkroom where my dad developed film. I truly thought he was doing magic, watching images slowly appear on paper felt unreal to me. That curiosity stayed with me.

Over time, that childhood wonder turned into passion. I began studying light, people & emotion, and eventually built Sassi Photo around creating Artistic, Elegant, and Personal wedding imagery. Today, after nearly a decade of experience, what started as a child watching “magic” in a darkroom has become my life’s work, helping couples preserve their most meaningful moments in a way that feels Personal & Elegant.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
That’s a powerful angle. Here is a refined, confident version in your voice:

Growing up in a family of photographers, you would think the road would be simple. I believed I would naturally master the craft and inherit decades of experience just by being around it. But it wasn’t that easy.

The clients of today want something very different from the clients of twenty years ago. Expectations have changed. Technology evolves constantly. Gear advances quickly. Styles shift. I had to continuously adapt, study, and reinvent myself to stay aligned with the modern couple and the evolving market.

But the biggest struggle wasn’t technical. It was learning that great photos alone are not enough. Clients are not just hiring images. They are hiring an experience. They want to feel seen, understood, guided, and cared for on one of the most important days of their lives. Teaching myself to truly serve, to communicate deeply, to build personal connections, that was the real growth.

What was once a challenge became the foundation of my business. Today, service and personal connection are just as important to me as the art itself.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?

I’m a wedding photographer based in Columbus, Ohio, and I specialize in creating artistic, elegant, and personal wedding imagery. My focus is not just on documenting the day, but on helping couples feel confident, natural, and fully themselves in front of the camera. I guide them with intention, pay close attention to light and emotion, and create images that feel refined while still honest and real.

I’m known for building strong connections with my couples. Many of them tell me they felt completely comfortable and understood, even if they were nervous about photos at first. That comfort shows in the final gallery.

What I’m most proud of is the experience I provide. I’ve learned that beautiful photos alone are not enough. Couples remember how they felt. I’ve built my business around serving them personally, being present, guiding them step by step, and treating their wedding with the responsibility it deserves.

What sets me apart is that balance between artistry and service. I care deeply about the art, but I care just as much about the people in front of my camera. That combination is what makes the difference.

We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?

One of my favorite childhood memories is traveling with my dad. We would be driving, and suddenly he pulls over just to take a photo. At the time, I didn’t fully understand it, but I remember watching him Without even realizing it, that passion was being passed down to me.

Today, I find myself doing the same thing. When I’m on a trip with my family, I naturally spot beautiful locations, and capture them. And when I’m photographing my couples, that instinct becomes even stronger. It’s not something I force. It’s something that feels natural.

Photography has always been around me. In many ways, it’s in my blood.
