We’re looking forward to introducing you to Anthony Church. Check out our conversation below.
Good morning Anthony, we’re so happy to have you here with us and we’d love to explore your story and how you think about life and legacy and so much more. So let’s start with a question we often ask: What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
Currently it’s been checking my emails, making a beat and then I try and post a track up on my BeatStars page. If I do those few things I usually feel the day can get off to a good start!
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I am a music producer and podcaster based in northeast Ohio. I started making music 9 years ago in 2016 and have had the pleasure of working with a plethora of independent artists from around the globe as well as releasing my own Instrumental music since 2020. I also host the music interview series called The Proven Knowledge Podcast where I have conversations with incredible artists and producers about their humble beginnings, influences and creative process in order to help inspire the next generation of aspiring creatives!
Okay, so here’s a deep one: What did you believe about yourself as a child that you no longer believe?
I feel there was a time where I had no belief in myself and my overall trajectory in life. It took a lot of work internally and a lot of time spent on my craft to realize that was the wrong mindset to have. I’ve been able to find my true purpose through helping others through my own music and other creative outlets and that has been more fulfilling than I could have ever imagined.
What did suffering teach you that success never could?
I feel like it allows you to be grateful for the good things in life. Without those trials then all of the tribulations feel mundane and boring. As tough as it is I feel like you need to go through those difficult points in life to appreciate the great things that life has to offer and even appreciate the small things you may be taking for granted.
So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. Is the public version of you the real you?
I’ve always tried to present myself as authentically as possible within my music and every outlet I’ve been involved in. That’s a big reason I decided to use my own name as a producer and artist because I always aimed to just be myself no matter what. I feel that’s been verry crucial to maintaining who I am and showing the world what I can offer.
Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
If I’m lucky enough to be remembered I hope people just know I really had good intentions at the end of the day. I did what I felt was right and always bet on myself which I hope will inspire people to do the same in their own lives. I also hope they get inspired to give back to others in whatever way they can because that’s the least we could do for those around us. Especially if we have access to resources and opportunities that others don’t, you can do a lot just by lending a helping hand to someone who might need it.
